5 tips to apply for U.S. visa

Apply early and bring extra documentation are some tips to get the document seek to travel to the American union

Mexicans wishing to travel to the United States needs a visa, which process is not complicated, but there are some specifications that must know who requests one.
The San Antonio Universal compiled a series of tips for anyone who needs to manage this travel document.

1. Know what types exist: There are several types of visas and it is desirable that they who request a report. Some types of visas are: Tourist (B1), business (B2), academic exchange (J1), artists (O), performers (P), investors (E1 and E2) and hired by a U.S. company (TN, H1B) .

2. Apply early: The procedure requires an appointment and, given the high demand for people wishing to travel to the United States, you should apply at least five to eight months before the date on which you plan to travel .

3. Do not buy your ticket before: It is advisable to buy a plane ticket, bus or other transportation to the United States before receiving the visa, and apply for a visa does not guarantee that is given to everyone who applies.

However it is advisable to have a tentative date of travel, and to know what city and the specific purpose of the trip, as employees of the American Embassy in Mexico Union request this information.

4. Be on the appointment: Once you get the appointment is advisable to arrive at the embassy 30 minutes before the time of the interview, because they respect the time and do not take into account personal setbacks.

5. Carry extra documents: Worth the appointment carrying some documents proving that applicants have economic stability, roots and other reasons to live in Mexico.

Some of these documents are: monthly revenue receipts, bank statements, deeds of houses, land and cars, business charters and educational credentials, if the applicant is a student.
